I thought that this was a very clear explanation of vibration in a tonearm.
Having the equations outside the main text makes it easier to get the main thrust of the discussion without being interrupted and losing track by stopping to evaluate and assess the implications of the equation.
I think that it is desirable to have the equations outside the text but not far away. I generally prefer footnotes to endnotes for this reason but in a short explanation like this, they are one and the same.
What is still not clear to me is why you believe that the wrap would generally not help. I would have thought that anything that reduced the overall feedback of vibrations from the tonearm to the cartridge would be desirable provided it does not increase feedback at a problem frequency.David
