Cardas offers internal tonearm wire that's pretty inexpensive and very supple: You might consider trying that as a lead-out from the arm to RCA jacks or a shielded cable. It's sold by the foot and not expensive.I have to admit though that I have some new respect for the cheapie cable that Linn used to provide as standard equipment: It may not have looked like much, but it was low capacitance and not too springy.
Don't take this the wrong way, but if the stock cable seems too stiff, it's because you're not tuning your LP-12 correctly. I used to think there was no way to get near-perfect suspension bounce with it, but I was wrong. It may have helped that I changed all of the bushings and springs and ensured that the subchassis hadn't been warped by the previous owner. Someone--maybe it was part of the Linn FAQ that floats around the 'net--suggested that seemingly insoluble LP12 tuning problems may be due to aged and otherwise off-spec parts, and that made lots of sense to me.
