Re: Fred....you are *completely* wrong on all counts.

Not only is some of your information factually wrong (such as "heating the object up") about the cryogenic process, but you are commenting on something with which you obviously have *no* knowledge and experience. I do, as do many others.

Vinyl LP's have been successfully treated, without a lick of damage, time and again. Emphatically so. If you want to act like a scientist, make a couple of simple phone calls and verify the facts. 1) call Paul Wakeen of Stillpoints LLC....715-698-3253. He's processed LP's over and over again, and in fact, first informed me about this successful treatment. 2) call Charles Beresford of Cryogenics International....480-991-0299. This is the firm I've been doing business with for nearly 4 years. Not only do they treat all manner of materials including steel and plastics, but they build the very dewars that many in industry use, whether for high-performance racing or high-performance audio. And they have successfully treated LP's and CD's as well. You can even read about these specific processes on their website.

But you probably won't call, or visit the website, as you will likely wish to remain highly opinionated. Don't let the facts alter your reality.
