and the pupose of your post is?

Lets review things rationally.

Pretty much everything from icecreams to granite slabs deteriorate with time but the speed of deterioration varies considerably. Within the realm of stereo equipment some things deteriorate relatively quickly and others deteriorate so slowly that for practical purposes we can say that they are not susceptible to deterioration.

How do we know which is which?
Well in the first place we listen to them.
Secondly we examine how they are made and look for possible points where aging or wear might cause deterioration.
Thirdly we discuss the issue to others who have done the same thing to see if their findings match our own. This is a major benefit of this forum.
If the three sources of information do not match, then we look a little harder to try to figure out why.

You seem to have formed a strong opinion but, so far as I can tell, you have not listened to the component to confirm or refute whether your theory is correct. If I am wrong in this, I would be interested to know exactly what you heard that made this cartridge less desireable than other cartridges that you can get for $50

You have listed a number of real problems that can occur with stereo equipment as it ages but you do not appear to know enough about how this component is constructed to assess whether they are likely to be significant in this case.

The cartridge body is a completely sealed solid component with no moving parts that is not subject to heat or high voltage. These are all good things as far as lifespan is concerned.

I would be interested in your opinion of NOS vacuum tubes. Do you think that they also will have deteriorated with age to the point that they can't compare with new ones? If not, why do you think that a MM cartridge body would be very different even if it has had a period of use? (I can imagine some potential causes of slow degradation but as I can't hear a problem, I suspect that the rate is too slow to be a real concern at the cost level we are discussing)

Regards

David
