Yup, you should probably buy it

That's probably about the best-sounding turntable you're going to get at the price. You won't really be able to judge condition of arm and main bearings but if the owner sounds somewhat clued-in as to their care and feeding, that's a good sign. Do a web search for the Linn Sondek FAQ, and that should tell you 90% of what you need to know.

Prior to transport, here's what you can do to prevent your fellow Linn owners from moaning that you just permanently screwed the thing up:

Remove the counterweight from the tonearm

Don't attempt to remove or install a cartridge while the arm is installed on the table for fear of causing undue stress on the pivots. The arm is held in place by a single setscrew, so there's no excuse not to.

Either remove the inner platter from it's well entirely, or take some other precaution to ensure it doesn't keep bottoming out while you're transporting it. It wouldn't hurt to buy a couple of packets of the proper Linn bearing oil to replace the old lube.
