I've caught vinylosis.. what entry level TT will cure me?

Ok... I've had it up to HERE (gestures to neck) with pianos and bass sounding like they are playing off of a garbled tape.

I have a Yamaha P-350 (from 1982??). The sound is otherwise ok from the Ortofon X-5MC, and I've tweaked it a bit.

But sheesh, compared to the CD version of music I have, it really sounds like the motor or something is unstable, and I'm thinking it's just the design.

What will bring me relief? What has superb stability and timing delivered with neutrality and wide soundstage?

A decent TD-160? Should I just save up for a used Rega P3? Other stuff in my system is listed in the link below.

Thanks for any advice...
