The Grado cartridges are good value for the money. I have a Grado Silver on my Sony PS-X50 and it works nicely on that table. I did try the silver on my Rega 3 and the hum was noticeable as the arm moved thru the last track or two on the record. Wasn't that painful, just seemed like the noise floor increased with the 60 cycle hum. It was not something I was prepared to live with so I replaced the Grado with my Linn K9. Even without the hum, the K9 outperformed the Grado and seemed to provide more music.I have heard that the low output Grado's are not susceptible to the 60 cycle hum.
