Yamaha's "Centenial Series" from around 1987, also referred to as the "10,000 Series".
The MX-10000 (amplifier) was Class-A, rated at 1,200 watts into 1-ohm and weighed 95 pounds.
The shop I worked for at the time put a set on display, but never sold any and eventually sold the demos.
They were frightfully expensive and since we also sold Threshold, ARC, Counterpoint and Meitner, the competition was stiff.
