Is there any way to get the sub platter to a machine shop? They may be able to apply heat and get it flat. There is an Ebay seller who occasionally has Thorens platters/sub platters, volante1. He sells platters for $80, I would send a message to him and ask if he has a sub-platter.
It's worth keeping, they seem to be increasing in value. I sold my last one for $800 with a Rega 300 arm, recapped board and new walnut plinth. They seem to be selling for much more just a few years later.
