I had never noticed this note on the inside cover of Dave Grusin's "Discovered Again" album. I only have a dozen or so SL albums and this note doesn't appear on any others.
I listened to several cuts from both sides and then reversed the speaker wires on the speaker end and listened to the same cuts again.
The difference was not grand by any means, however there was no doubt after the reversal the music was more dynamic, a bit more 3 dimensional and revealing. Definitely worth the effort and would put good use of the polarity switch on a preamp.
