RE: Why so defensive?

Yes, it is indeed cracked. We inspected it with a 20x jeweler's loupe as well to see that it was definitely, indeed, a crack and not just grain in the wood. He told the seller this and the seller was aware of it before he relisted the arm. The arm was back up and running on ebay before he had even received it back or refunded my friend's money, which I personally thought was pretty cheesy. My friend contacted him and asked for an immediate refund since tracking information had been submitted and the arm was already up for auction again. The seller refused and made him wait until the arm arrived. So the submitted tracking info was good enough to re-sell the arm, but not good enough to refund my friend's money. Another thing worth mentioning is that this guy's packing job was pathetic. Zero effort whatsoever to protect a $200 purchase, box barely larger than the arm itself. When my friend returned it, he repacked it, double boxed for safety. Seller didn't even thank him. If you look at the first photo in the auction listing and magnify the area right in front of the counterweight, you can see the crack/split in the wood on the top of the arm tube. Again, I can also see if I can get the pictures from my friend and post them here if you all would like to see them in detail.
