I had the same problem with a Schick 12" arm on my TD124, I changed all motor grommets and the 4 large rubber mounting grommets, mushroom shaped. It was the quietest when I did not use the mushroom grommets, the turntable flat against the plinth, but some noise still persisted. I eventually sold the arm and am now using a 12" Jelco arm and there is no noise using the mushroom grommets.
Try a different platter mat, or use some rubber bushings to isolate the armboard somewhat from the metal chassis.
