Well of course there is nothing one can do about caps and probably some of the IC's are not going to be available if they will burn but mechanically most of those machines are in good condition and do not require any changes , because in majority they were not owned by avid vinyl collectors spinning records for 30 years. If you are DD fan I don't see what you can buy today which is comparable in terms of sound and looks (sometimes more important feature) for the money.
