...has always been the DP-30L, not to be confused with the DP-30LII. I've always been a price/performance ratio kind of guy, and the 30L performs admirably for what it costs.
These aren't all prettied up like the big Denons, but they have a great motor, are well built and have have a decent arm ...one I prefer to the servo arms.
These were sold in larger numbers than the big guys and are more easily found. Given your budget and the likelihood (as Ed pointed out) that you may have to invest in some restoration, this table is well suited to your budget.
