I have been buying LP's from reputable Ebay LP sellers for over a decade, rarely have had a problem. I have returned only one LP, and that was from a newby LP seller that didn't know what grading was. Basically my fault trying to get something for nothing. Just look at the feedback and the amount of time the seller has been selling LP's. Sellers who grade badly won't last long.
If you are expecting dead quiet used vinyl with good gloss 100% of the time, Ebay may not be the place to find it. But I have had good luck, even LP's graded VG+ are more often than not very acceptable.
