RE: Ain't you the guy who denounced Shure "deception" in favor of an OM20?

Yeah. There've been many hifi rants through the years. Much of what I think about the Shure sound still applies, and I still respect the OM20, but now I'm using a Shure M75E Type 2 because it has two qualities that I find to be, unfortunately, extremely unique in the field: A) it sounds extremely natural B) it tracks pretty well. On the downside, it's the the most refined or magical sound, but I can't say what is better. Well, actually, the Denon DL103R can be extremely magical with the right recording, but on anything less than high rez, fat sounding records, it's excruciating. Tried the OM20 again recently and found it wonderful, but a little too surgical/analytical for my taste. And of course, when I change something in my system, then my opinions may change from time to time. Speaking of which, anyone wants a good deal on an OM20, I've got one available.
