Let me clarify a bit. The low level hum that recently appeared is not the turntable motor hum, the hum is coming thru the speakers (like a ground loop hum) and gets louder as I increase the volume, however when I lift the tonearm with the cueing device, the hum stops as soon as the stylus clears the vinyl. Only when the stylus is in contact with the record is the hum there.
