In my opinion, and I have tried many budget phono preamps, the Vincent PHO 8 is the finest of them all by a significant margin. It sounds massive, full, rich, dynamic, warm, smooth, and musical with cavernous bass. Is it the best phono preamp in the world? Absolutely not, but in it's class and price range it is astoundingly good and I would be very impressed to hear a similar product do better.
