I own a Garrard 301 and a Thorens TD124, have to go in that direction with the Jelco 12" arm and Shelter 501, that's basically what I have on my TD124. I use a Cadenza Black on my Garrard 301. I have had bad luck on my last few direct drives, speed stability issues due to component failure on the circuit board(s).
My last direct drive was a JVC TT-71, speed failure after 2 weeks of use.
