For less than a $1000, I would go for a ZYX R100 from 2Juki($860), reputable Ebay seller. A retip from Soundsmith could be a 3-4 month wait.

Maybe your dealer could get a Kontrapunkt A from Ortofon, I have had the Zyx and the Kontrapunkt and they are both excellent.
