Any of my idlers...

I have no confidence in anything new, they are all fine while under warranty, but later? Getting warranty service is hard enough in the lower 48, but on a deserted island?

I'd take any one of my Garrard 301, 401, Thorens TD124 and ROK L34. They have all been rebuilt/upgraded so I have a lot of confidence in their reliability.

Vintage direct drives(and some belt drives) are a crapshoot these days, the internal electronic components are past their expected life span.
