I also offered to buy one of the "NEW" Koetsu Rosewood Signature cartridges for $1,000. I would only do COD, never heard from the seller. Then the listing disappeared.
I would definitely keep e-mailing Audiogon and tell them that the listing you offered to buy was fraudulent and the seller's account has been suspended. If you do a Google search for the SME V tonearm it comes up as a suspended seller. Same with the Koetsu Rosewood cartridges. I have also seen the SME V tonearm for sale for $1,100 a few times. Seems to me that if Audiogon recognizes a listing as fraudulent and the same item is listed again under another username but with the same pictures, their software should recognize it.
This listing for a Benz cartridge has also been listed a few times from someone in the UK. There is also a Kuzma Stogi Reference tonearm for $800, new USA seller. Says it's a 10/10 but the cartridge clips have been cut off.
