Re: grado for thorens

Hi, Can't really see why a grado should not do it. thorens usually use light arms, and (cheeper) grado usually fit light arms. the dealer recomendation here (in goth/swe) is usually a grado for thorens. though i have no experience myself on grado, coz i use audiotechnica (110e) and ortofon (vms30, vms20 and have used om's but the latter is not of my choise) just coz the grado was sold out (completly!) at time i was out for a new cartridge. but i think thet most of the 'avoid grado' comes from the point that they sound dull for the first couple of days... those i've heard have sounded just fine, but as i said i don't use it myself... i assume a thorens would sound just fine with a "forward" cartridge like grado - especially if you scrap the rubber mat for some felt - just as a/t fits great. /pär
