Rek-O-Kut L34 power switch is bad. Any suggestions? Need help!

I have a Rek-O-Kut L34 deck that I'm trying to get running. The rotating on/off/power/speed control switch is bad and it seems to be the internal wiring is fouled. Table works fine, speed control dial works and switch is fine once it's turned on, but the wiring is loose, intermittent, and sometimes sparks when the switch is engaging. I'm going to pull apart the switch, but I realize I may break it in the process as is sometimes the case with ancient plastic parts. Is there a way to replace this type of switch with a new part or otherwise or am I screwed?
