I owned a Kenwood/Trio KD-700 that I purchased from a serviceman in Japan. It was a 100 volt 60 hz unit. He claimed to have had it for a year, ran it daily with the bases 120 volt power supply. So I also ran it with no problems for 6 months(in the USA) before I sold it to a friend, he runs it daily. It never ran hot and speed stability was fine.
