Seeking an individual who can rebuild my Empire 980 tonearm.

I have an old Empire 980 tonearm that I want to mount on an Empire turntable. There seems to be a friction spot in it's rotation indicating what I would guess is bearing wear. I'm wondering if there is someone who can rebuild this arm out there or if such a task is even possible. I don't know how the mechanism works. The wiring is fine, there is continuity in all the leads. There does not seem to be any play in the pivot, just when I hold the arm and allow it to swing freely, I can feel a little bump in a certain spot when it moves back and forth. Does not rotate completely smoothly. Or is there some way I can open this up and polish/lubricate/replace the bearings? Thanks!
