I used a Hagerman Piccolo for a few years and liked it. But I was always trying a variety of passive step ups and ended up with Hashimoto HM-3's and some Jensen JT-346-AX's. A bit more money, but the sound is well worth it. I did try some Cinemag 1131's, but I didn't care for them. The VAS Industries MC One was also a bit better, more transparent, than the Piccolo.
