I have most of the newer audiophile LP's separate from the rest of the bunch, organized by label. Most of the older LP's are organized by label also, RCA Living Stereo, Decca, London, etc. But I also have newer Lp's organized by composer, these are less important and less valuable, get listened to somewhat less as well. Box sets, operas, etc. get organized by composer.
Every year or so, I reorganize and put stuff back in some kind of order. I only have about 2,000 classical lp's, so it's not a major job.
