RE: Rega RP3

interesting , I just changed plinths from planar 2 /Nad 533 to new RP3 plinth and if anything the old one is simply better laminated ,better workmanship and quality control the material is the same.I worked for cabinet maker so can see the difference. Of course new table is going to look and sound better than 30 years old clunker with possibly tired bearings :main and in the tonearm. The table was never built to high standards. Also I have no doubts that 24v less vibrating motor and better tolerances in the arm will translate to changes in sound. After all the main difference between 301 and flagship RB1000 arm is quality of bearings , tolerances and better wire.
Did you try dynavector cart on your planar 3? It is a high-end cart and your Bias can't compare in any meaningful way , it's just pointless ..
