I purchase a few LP's every month, all of them have been mostly good quality. A few ticks and light pops on occasion but the last LP I purchased from Acoustic Sounds, Bernstein/Stravinsky Rite of Spring, had to be returned at my expense, I am not sure if it's a pressing problem or a mastering problem, but side one has atrocious distortion during soft clarinet passages. The second copy was pretty much the same.
I understand they are a small business and probably struggling to make it, but they should put the pressure on the manufacturer. Some are better than others, but I will not be buying any more Sony reissues.
