Sagging tonearm/counterweights...is this a problem? RE: Ariston Enigma

I have an Ariston Enigma arm I'm attempting to resurrect. Right off the bat I see that the counterweight is sagging a bit. In other words, if you follow the arm to the pivot point, it is not straight through to the end. The rear portion where the weight sits is angled down slightly. I've noticed this before on other tonearms by various manufacturers. Is this an issue or is it purely cosmetic? I assume some sort of rubber bushing is sagging or something of that nature? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
