I am considering the purchase of an Empire 598 II turntable to replace my long-standing Lenco/Linn combo. I know that there is some goofy apparatus or cartridge clip in the Empire headshell, right? What I'm wondering is a) how difficult is it to properly align a cartridge on this arm and b) can accurate, traditional Baearwald alignment be achieved? I ask this because I know that on some of the older turntables, for whatever reason (such as Rek-O-Kut), they position the arm making it impossible to use a Baerwald protractor and have everything line up. I'm wondering if this is the case with the 598 II or if it's alright in that regard. Thank you!
