Originally I ordered this cartridge for my friend's Pro-Ject 1.2 turntable. I had tried it on my Pioneer PL-15D as well as my Lenco L75/Linn Basik LVX combo. After a rigorously accurate protractor setup and setting the stylus force at 2 grams, the Sumiko Pearl tracks acceptably well on the Pro-Ject table/arm, giving only a hint of problems on the last band of side two of the Hi-Fi News Test lp. I have not yet experimented with anti-skate, so it's possible that doing so would clean up the performance even more thoroughly. Why does this cartridge track so much better on the Pro-Ject arm than on the other two? It must be because the other two are garbage. I had even experimented with mass loading the headshell on the Linn arm at one point and still couldn't get it to track. Go figure....
