That's a good point. I was wondering about speed stability or fluctuations being a factor or causing a "spongy" sound. However, I've been taking regular outboard strobe measurements on these various tables as well as the fact that some of the belt drives have superior wow and flutter specifications to the rim drives. But again, I'm not claiming anything here. I'm in the process of formulating an opinion and trying to solve the vinyl playback puzzle. I wanted to see if anyone else shared my preliminary findings.
