Nothing religious about the topic. It all boils down which transformer and which preamp and personal preferences. I liked Cinemag plus J-fet SS MM stage over the same J-fet preamp configured as a MC. It simply was more musical with transformer. Than I had a chance to compare Cinemag to Hashimoto SUT and there was no comparison really. I remember Thorsten DL 103 rambling and his conclusion that to have success with that cartridge you need either MC solid state stage and load it ~1000k or old feedback based tube MM stage with suitable microphone MC transformer and suitably "crappy arm" like old SME , Ortofon and pletora brodcast work horses. He added that any "Upgraded DL 103 " are basicaly a garbage and it's better to buy modern cart instead :)
