Re: Anyone know about old Monitor Audio speakers

It seems like a number of people who have had older Monitor Audio speakers have regretted giving them up and I can understand why. For the moment, I've parked my Mission 753's in the corner and I'm trying the MA66's with different amps. They have sounded good with everything I've tried them with and I sure love the bass extension. It would be funny if I ended up displacing the Missions with speakers I bought for less than $100.

If you can find a copy of a review, I'll come down to Australia to pick it up! At least I'll come as far as Sydney where we are spending Easter with my cousin before heading up to Queensland and a surprise 50th birthday party for my sister in law.

BTW. The speakers are actually 2-way with a passive radiator. Not 2 1/2 way as I had thought. No make shown on the drivers but the mid-bass driver was made in 1981 and "Stale" on the speaker asylum thought he remembered it being an Audax on my model.

Regards

David
