Re: The amp is a HH Scott 208 that has already had all the capacitors replaced

The HH Scott 208 is a very "bare-bones" amp, essentially the back end of a HH Scott 355. Not a single switch to clean! Just a 5AR4 rectifier, pair of triode-pentode drivers (either 6GH8 or 6U8) and the 7591 outputs.

Check the Driver tubes, and sockets as Jon points out. Try swapping the driver tubes between channels. Tighten the input jacks. If that Doesn't fix it, resolder every joint in the affected channel.

Nice amp, but I'd be impressed if it still has it's original power transformer. For some odd reason, they all seem to blow on the 208. Good news is that a transformer from a junker LK72 or 299C/D will substitute just fine and run a bit cooler.
