I can't use the crossover in my HT pre-amp (Sony SDP-EP9ES) on vinyl because it has no analog ins, only digital ins and an analog pass through. A pity it has that limitation but for $C125 and some components I had lying around, I've got pretty good HT sound without compromising my stereo and I don't have to live with the sound of a fan.Ive tried a bridged Rotel RB-850 and one channel of a Hafler DH-220 to drive the sub. The Rotel seems to be a better match but I'm not sure why.
The plate amp is an interesting alternative but may not be as saleable if/when I move to something else.
Your JBLs sound nice. I seem to recall that the L100s have a rise in the upper base. Do your L110's eliminate this?
