The Philco used two large electrolytics (8uf I believe). The remainder of the chassis used the typical bakelite modules that Philco was famous for. They contained caps or resistors in a wax matrix. Rebuilding is a slow, tedious process but the final result is very nice. One of the electrolytics was open, the other was leaky but still somewhat functional. It's always sad to see nice old radios trashed by audiophools who just want the tubes. Someday we'll wish we saved more of the radios intact!
