The MX 110 has the balance and volume control behind the line stage. So when you listen to low volume music, the pre is driving your power amp thru up to 40 Kohm of resistor in the colume control ( assuming that the balance pot is a more modern type which has no resistant when set at the middle, but I am not sure and eprhaps depend on the version of MX 110.
Assuming if your cable has a capacitance of 25pf per foot, then for 30 ft, the capacitance will be 750 pf, and equal to 21 K ohm at 10 kc/s, which is lower then the vomune pot typical resistance at low level. That will sognificantly cut off your high freq.
Perhaps, It's better off if you get a SS line stage with an output impedence in the region of less then 1 K ohm...
