The 3020 is a good sounding little amp and I think that you would find most options that don't require a lot more money are different rather than better and may well sound less satisfying.
For a substantial improvement at reasonable cost in Australia, I would look for a second hand Sugden. They show up from time to time one ebay.au or the trading post.
The only amp that caught my eye as a possible for you right now is the Arcam Alpha 5 closing on ebay.au today. If I still lived in Chatswood rather than Canada, I would be checking it out.
The other possibility I would consider is keeping the 3020 and putting the money into a speaker upgrade.
