RE: Well alrighty then

ErnieL, hi. Mikey Samra is not crazy. He may be guilty of being enthusiastic. But then I wish more people were enthusiastic. Genuine enthusiasm seems to be becoming a rare commodity. Whatever. I say enthusiasm in the pursuit of audio is no vice. Now, Clarity caps? I'll have to google. As far as caps for your 19 go - if you are using one big value for the value you need and the cap is polypropylene film and foil or metalized regardless of any other consideration a bypass is often good practice. I used ASC polyprop & oil, dry polyprop (Solen), and Jensen copper foil & oil. Huge old paper & oil caps are excellent if they can be obtained. Size alone may make you think twice about using them. I would even consider trying a crossover with Black Gates. An L cancelling cap may hold sonic wonders. Making a composite cap in crossover application inclusive of bypassing makes good sonic sense. Happy listening!
