RE: MC 225

N, hi again. You are most welcome. I made Octal to Novar adaptors so I could run NOS 6GM5 in my 225. Over time I replaced every coupling cap (RTX Rel & TFT Rel), every resistor (wire wound 1%, carbon film 1% and at higher wattage than spec), electrolytics (Black Gate in the voltage doubler and downstream and cathode by-pass), Fairchild Stealth in the B+ and bias supply. I wanted to hear what the McIntosh Unity Coupled circuit could do. I found out. Wow. The 225 is a little wonder. Happy listening.
