RE: MC 225

N, hi. There are electrolytic capacitors in your 225. These should be replaced after this much time elapsed. Every resistor should be checked against intended value. Many probably have changed. Note. Some R values must be 1% matched. Replace the B+ diodes with something fast but soft recovery (Fairchild Stealth). There have been dramatic changes in solid state diode technology that benefit audio. These are the minimum changes I would suggest and are necessary. Have you done any AA searches regarding 225 yet? I would. Try this forum as well as tubes and diy. You don't have to "upgrade" the circuit. You do have to insure all components are what they are supposed to be by value and tolerance.
