Re: Please help - Papworth M200

Carsten, hi. Why did you have to pay a technician to not work on your amps or for work done improperly? If a shop damaged your amps it should be the shop's responsibility to make restitution. These guys must be total bozos. Aside from the dents, scratches, how is what they did going to set you back 5-7 thousand pounds? This doesn't compute. The Papworth (Mentmore once upon a time?) amps look like push-pull parallel EL34 Class AB1. Nothing novel about the circuit. Anyone with tube amp experience would know and understand your amps. There must be some reputable shop/person where you are who can give you honest advice/service. I understand you are upset. Anyone would be given the circumstances. I wouldn't pay those robbers anything especially since they apparently damaged your amps and strung you along for almost 12 months while they did it!
