I have a NAD 3020 in great cosmetic condition which had fried output transistors on one channel and fried drivers on the other. This has been fixed and the amp now works but the transformer runs hot. Fuses don't blow and I don't notice any other hot spots in the amp.A friend tells me that its almost cetainly a short in the transformer windings and has given me a donor chassis with an intact transformer.
Is there anything I should check before I replace the transformer? I have a decent multimeter.
