Thanks for the suggestions.
1) I didn't see anthing out of place or loose when I opened it up but I'll take a closer look.
2) Not sure how to check a bridge rectifier
3) Not sure how to check caps
4) No dents. Bottom and rest of case are pristine.
5) They look like the standard transistors. If I need to replace some, I was planning to use originals which I can probably get from a buddy. Did the sound change much with the new transistors?I'll keep you posted on what I'm doing with it.
Thanks for the offer of further advice. I was planning to get the manuals myself but have not gotten around to it. I do have some schematics I downloaded but I don't recall which version they were. This one looks like the original series (sn 3241907)
