Re: mcintosh c-22 reissue

I have the C22C (Commemorative) and it is very good with few issues. The tuner will bleed into phono one so you may have to turn the tuner off when using this input. Phono two is much quieter as far as bleed through goes..
I have a mix of NOS RCA and GE Mil spec tubes in mine and it works and measures very good.
This pre amp does put out a DC spike on turn on and off just like the original. DC coupled SS amps are not a good match. I have used mine with Mc tube and solid state as well as Crown, and other SS amps without problem.
$2K is a good price and the control and switch quality of the C22C is very good. It will last a long time and maintain its value. Clean units with all the packing have been selling between $2500 to $3000.
