OK, my 2 cents:
As far as I know, all RCA chassis connectors have the same specs.
There are a few RCA plug manufacturers that claim to make 75 ohms impedance plugs(for video and digital), but that is very unlikely once the connector is plugged into a regular RCA receptacle. For audio connections, I have not found a better chassis connector than Vampire's OFC direct gold plated RCAs, CM1F/CB or CM2F/CB (inside nut or outside nut). They are probably excellent for video, too.
The RCA industry standard for digital and video connections is incompatible with the cable impedance specifications (75 ohms), therefore IMO the best method to find a good cable / connection is by trial and error.
I suggest replacing video/digital RCAs as the last step, after you find a good digital/video cable. The Cable company (www.fatwyre.com)has a cable loan program.
Also try your local dealer, most good dealers loan cables.
I hope this helps.
