They make a device which looks just like a hockey puck, same shape and approximate size. The pucks are made from what looks to be the same material as the cones and they have a woven carbon fiber top layer (both sides)which is covered with a clear plastic resin about 1/8 on an inch thick. They have threaded inserts which have a 1/4 - 20 thread so you can screw a cone onto one side and use another threaded piece of rod to then screw the cone/puck combnation to the bottom of your component.
